NSCN (IM) General Secretary Th Muivah arrived in Dimapur today. Muivah was received at the airport by senior members of the NSCN (IM) including the chief of army staff and steering committee convener.
A senior functionary of the NSCN (IM) informed The Morung Express that the Muivah is here to attend the assembly of the National Hoho which is scheduled on February 11.
Another objective of Muivah’s visit would likely be the election of the president and vice president of the NSCN (IM).
It should be mentioned that after the demise of Isak Chishi Swu and Khole Konyak, the posts of the president and vice president have been lying vacant. Frontrunners to the two posts include Q Tuccu for the president’s chair and Tongmeth Konyak for vice president.
The election of the president and the vice president would likely be taken up during the assembly of the national hoho.
