Rotary Club Kohima 16th installation ceremony held

Rotarian Sanjay Jain and others during the 16th installation ceremony of Rotary Club Kohima on August 10.


 

Kohima, Aug 11 (MExN): The 16th Installation Ceremony of Rotary Club Kohima was held on August 10 last at Mhachaki, Kohima with Rotarian Sanjay Jain, Assistant Governor Zone –IX RI District-3240 as installation officer. 


The ceremony programme was led by Rotary Club Kohima acting president Rtn. Kezhokhoto Savi.


In his presidential speech, he read out the Rotary Four Way Test – Is it the Truth? Is it Fair to all concerned? Will it build Goodwill and Better friendships? and Will it be Beneficial to all concerned?.


Club secretary Rtn. Richard Dzuvichu presented the annual report. 


The new Board of Directors for the tenure 2019-20 was installed by the installation officer to be led by Rtn. Neisatuo Mero as President, Rtn. Kezhokhoto Savi & Rtn. Thiala Chang as Vice-President, Secretary – Rtn. Kevino Savino, Treasurer – Rtn. Temsumenla, Sergeant-at-Arm – Rtn. Ase Yhome and Rtn. Rosemary Dzuvichu, Rtn. Seyiekhrielie Rio, Rtn. Richard Dzuvichu, Rtn. Tokishe Sema as the Director of Community Service, Youth & Vocational Service, International Service & TRF Chair respectively. 


The installation officer has officially inducted six(6) new members namely Kevilenuo Solo, Pakin Richapbo, Dr. Ketoulelhou Vizo, Vilanuo Angela Yhome, Dr. Jongpurman Jamir and Mhaleo Tungoe. 


Rtn. Sanjay Jain encouraged the new inducted members to attend the Rotary Membership and Award Ceremony to be hosted at RC Guwahati on August 18 so that they can be felicitated by the RI District-3240.


This year the District will be focusing on membership, public relations and wished to induct more female members and young members below 40 years.


He requested the members of Kohima Club to come forward and donate towards the Rotary Foundation and become Paul Harris Fellow by donating US $ 1000 and District Governor will match US $ 500. 


Basing on this year’s theme of Rotary International (RI) “Rotary Connects the World,” he asked the Club to take up a project of nation builders award under TEACH Programme. 


He requested the club to identify schools, institutions where sanitary napkin, vending machines and incinerators would be installed from District Grant. 


Special number was presented by the past-president Rtn. Kezhokhoto Savi. Vote of thanks was pronounced by the chartered president Rtn. Rosemary Dzuvichu.


The programme was attended by the Rotarians of Kohima & Dimapur, family members and well wishers.
