SASU directs students to strictly adhere to rules & regulation formulated for their welfare

DIMAPUR, AUGUST 23 (MExN): The Southern Angami Students Union (SASU) has reiterated the ‘rules and regulations’ formulated for students studying within Southern Angami jurisdiction. 


A press release issued by SASU president Virato Naleo and action committee Mezivil Kiso said there rules has been re-issued to strengthen the resolutions passed by its former office bearers for strict compliance and for the knowledge of the institutions’ authority and the public in general. 


In this regard, the Union has reiterated that loitering around in uniforms and during class hours is disallowed. Further, students plying to school/colleges through own vehicle has been subsequently asked not to indulge in any other activities against the purpose of transportation to school or college. 


“If any student is caught loitering, driving private vehicles during the class hours outside the college/ school premise, the union shall cease the vehicle and impose disciplinary actions per se,” it stated. 


In case of any vehicles commuting students meet with any incident/ accident other than mechanical failure, the vehicle driver will be banned to use vehicle for commercial activities/purposes. 


It also cautioned that “misconduct in the form of any immoral activities; disrespecting teachers/lecturers/ asst. professors/professors/ administrators (challenging or threatening them with no valid reasons) will not be tolerated.” 
The union has also asked its students to observe and follow the incumbent ‘students’ code’ put down by its parent unit- Angami Students Union (ASU).
 

 

DNSU to strictly monitor wayward students 

DIMAPUR, AUGUST 23 (MExN): The Dimapur Naga Students’ Union (DNSU) on Friday said it will not tolerate students bunking classes, loitering around in uniform during class hours, use of tobacco products and other detrimental activities which will defame the students’ community.  In a press release, the DNSU also appealed all restaurant owners not to entertain students in uniform and to report to the Union for any sort of confrontation while also reminding the shop owners not to sell tobacco products within 100 years (300 feet) of any educational institution.  Further the DNSU urged all educational institutions, parents and the public to extend cooperation to its initiative.
