Newly opened Alon Yarns showroom located at the shopping arcade at Nyamo Lotha Road, Dimapur.
Dimapur, June 8 (MExN): Tidings for weavers in the state as Dimapur based Alon Multipurpose Co-Operative Society launched a store for natural yarns in association with Orient Processors Pvt Ltd, Guwahati. Named as ‘Alon Yarns’, the store is centrally located at the shopping arcade at Nyamo Lotha Road, Dimapur.
Being a state with a huge weavers’ population the store has been opened with a vision to provide natural yarns and enable the weavers in the state to practice the style of sustainable weaving with easy access of natural and quality yarns.
Alon Yarns will house brands like Ramadhenu and Reshmi which are known for its bio-degradable and eco-friendly qualities, manufactured by Orient Processors. Ramadhenu yarns are known for its strength, uniformity and its ability to resist the wear and tear of loinloom, handloom and powerloom weaving while Reshmi is a cellulose natural eco-friendly yarns known for producing fabrics that are shiny, sleek, soft and comfortable. The qualities of these yarns have been highly appreciated even in International markets and are known for producing quality fabrics that meets International standards and the export markets requirements.
Talking about the launch the proprietor of Alon Yarns, Atsungba Longchar, mentioned, “We are extremely excited to be launching the store and also glad to be the first dealers in the state for natural yarns produced by Orient Processors. We sincerely hope that weavers from across the State will benefit through our store and have the luxury of experimenting with different varieties of natural yarns and create quality textiles with easy access and availability.”
The store was launched in the presence of the Pabitra Buragohain, Managing Director and RC. Goswami, General Manager of Orient Processors Pvt.Ltd, the manufacturer of the yarns.
