Homecoming procession held in Georgia for Airman Apprentice killed at NAS Pensacola

The body of Airman Apprentice Cameron Walters arrived in Georgia Saturday.

Walters was one of three sailors killed in a shooting at NAS Pensacola on Friday, December 6.

He was 21 years old, a graduate of Effingham County High School and had recently enlisted in the United States Navy.

A Homecoming Procession will be held as his body is returned to Richmond Hill around 1 p.m. Saturday.

Cameron’s life will be celebrated at Compassion Christian Church, Henderson Campus on Monday, December 16. The visitation will begin at 12 p.m. followed by a service at 1 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations in Cameron’s memory to Bryan County Animal Shelter. The address is listed below.
