Carson City, Nev. News 4 - Fox 11 — The name Tiffani Barber in Carson City brings back smiles and memories of a woman that, in the face of cancer, stood tall for children who had no Christmas morning.
Unfortunately Tiffani lost the battle to brain cancer four years ago, but while she had one leg in the hospital chair she had the other running around Nevada setting up boxes for her toy drive.
With the help of her sister, Bailee Barber, Tiffani partnered with Lucille Packards Childrens Hospital in Palo Alto, Calif.
Together they would deliver truck loads of sealed toys to children on Christmas morning.
The kids in need are neutropenic, meaning they have a very weak immune system, so used toys could compromise their immune system.
One of the best gifts to get is a sealed board game.
Tiffani's family says that a board game allows a family to come together on Christmas rather than a single gift.
