CARSON CITY, Nev. (News 4 & Fox 11) — The Carson City Rifle and Pistol Range reopens Wednesday, April 17 and will be open for free public use on Wednesday and Thursday evenings.
During this time, the range will be monitored by Carson City Park Rangers, as they are Range Safety Officers, certified by the National Rifle Association (NRA).
Park Rangers will be onsite and available to provide assistance and answer questions on range guidelines and operations.
These timeframes are intended to accommodate public first-come, first-served use only. No reservations or group use will be allowed.
Group reservations can be scheduled separately by emailing the Carson Rifle and Pistol Club with the City’s non-profit partner, at info@carsonrapc.org.
Group use requires NRA certified Range Safety Officers, insurance, and may be subject to other requirements depending on the type of reservation. The facility reservation calendar is available at Carsonrapc.org.
