SPRINGFIELD, Ore. - If you are looking for something fun and free to do this evening, the city of Springfield is hosting its monthly art walk.

This is the first week that the Springfield city hall has a wall dedicated to youth art. Local businesses and A3 School in downtown Springfield will also be participating.

A3 will be hosting several free courses, including truffle making, music by color, making popup cards, choreography drawing, and improvisational theatre sports.

"We don't need to all be professional actors and artists and painters and artists in the world,” said John Monteverde, a teacher at A3. “But I think it's great for everybody to tap into that artist in them, whether you're a kid or an adult it's never too late to tap into your inner arts, and I believe that what we are here for on our Friday."

If you are interested in taking part in these free courses or just stopping by to see the artwork from local artists and students, events go from five to eight this evening.

The official art walk tour is from 5:30 to 8 p.m. and starts at the Willamalane Adult Activity Center with shuttle service provided to and from the Emerald Art Center until 7 pm.
