A Wallace man is in custody after he was accused of sexually assaulting two children in Lincoln County.

The Lincoln County Sheriff's office said they arrested Richard Moore, 65, on Friday on suspicion of first-degree sexual assault of a child and third-degree sexual assault of a child.

Moore is accused of inappropriately touching the children while taking photos and video of them at the Sutherland Reservoir during the summertime months this year.

Court documents also accuse Moore of trying to pull down the bottoms of the children's swimwear, saying the children resisted and tried to keep their clothing on. Documents also say one child made an attempt to keep the other from being sexually assaulted by grabbing their attacker's hand and twisting it.

The sheriff's office said the children eventually told their parents, who then reported the information to law enforcement.

The Perkins County Sheriff's Office also assisted in the investigation, saying they helped remove two covered trailers full of suspected evidence from Moore's rural property. Authorities said the investigation is ongoing and more charges are pending.

Moore is being held in the Lincoln County Jail in North Platte without bond, and he is scheduled to appear in court for a hearing on Oct. 31.
