North Platte Police respond to shooting of 4-year-old

Authorities say a 4-year-old was shot Monday morning, and North Platte Police Department said it is under investigation.

The North Platte Police Department said they responded to the a home in the 100 block of E. 12th Street at around 11:07 a.m. after receiving a report of an 8-year-old who accidentally shot his 4-year-old sister.

Police found the girl with a gunshot wound, and North Platte Fire and Rescue transported her to Great Plains Health. Her condition wasn't immediately available.
