Baylee Steele shot a 2-under 70 for the low round of the day at the Nebraska Junior Golf Tour's third Premier event of the season.

Finishing with birdies on the last two holes, Steele closed her back nine with a 3-under 33 to claim the girls 16-and-up, 18-hole event.

With the victory, Steele earns 100 points towards a possible invite to the NJG Tour Championship and could help in her pursuit of the Girls Golfer of the Year award. Steele has won two of the three NJGT events she's played in this year, bringing her point total up to 239.

Tyler Welch, of Seward, was impressive with a 3-under 69 to win the boys 16-plus division going away. After getting two birdies through the first five holes, Welch bogeyed each of the next four to finish at two-over through nine. He was lights out on his second nine with birdies on hole No. 10, 11, 12 and 14 and then getting a fifth on the 17th to come back with a 31.

The final Premier event this summer is being held at the Ashland Golf Club on July 23. The next Junior Tour event coming to Central Nebraska is on July 10 at Axtell's Awarii Dunes Golf Course.
