Jazz Johnson has a teammate locked in for next season.

Eric Parrish, the jewel of Nevada's 2019 recruiting class who requested a release from his national letter of intent last week, re-committed to playing for the Wolf Pack next season.

Parrish said Friday he will indeed be coming to Reno after evaluating his future following Nevada's coaching change from Eric Musselman to Steve Alford.

"I feel Coach Alford did a great job of continuing to reach out to me and trying to create a relationship," Parrish told Nevada Sports Net "I felt really comfortable that I could still reach my goals at Nevada. My commitment was obviously to Eric Musselman, but Reno is a great place and I feel like I can call it home for the next two years."

Parrish re-pledging to the Wolf Pack is big news for Nevada. The 6-foot-6, 195-pound wing player was the No. 4-ranked junior-college prospect in the nation this season, per 247Sports, following a solid freshman campaign at Akron, where he averaged 8.8 points and 4.7 rebounds per game in 2017-18.

At Bossier Parish Community College in Louisiana last season, Parrish averaged 18.4 points, 8.7 rebounds, 6.4 assists, 2.1 steals and 1.0 blocks per game while shooting 53.8 percent from the field, including 32 percent from three. He made 86.6 percent of his free throws. He was named the state's junior-college player of the year.

After conversations with the Wolf Pack's new coach, Parrish believes he's a good fit for Alford's offense.

"When he had his press conference, he talked about the team aspect and sharing the ball, especially with the four-out, one-in offense," Parrish said. "That will play off my ability to play with the ball in my hands with my length and size, and I feel like I'll be a really big piece to what he's trying to do."

Parrish expects to get to Reno in June to attend summer school classes when he can also start practicing with the team. After a hectic couple of weeks, Parrish is happy to know which school he will be at in the future. Parrish will have two seasons of eligibility remaining at Nevada and is eligible immediately.

"It's definitely been a stressful few weeks, but now that it's final over, me and my girl and my daughter are ready to get down to Reno," Parrish said.

Parrish is the second player to fully commit to playing for Nevada next season, joining Johnson, the team's leading returning scorer who announced after Alford's press conference last week that he would return to school after putting his name in the transfer portal earlier in the week.

When asked what fans can expect from his game, Parrish said: "Excitement, playing hard and giving it all I've got and continuing to build on something special. We want to keep this thing going."
