The Nevada football team has had a number of transfers out of the program in recent years. Here is how some old friends in new places fared during the 2019 season.

How Nevada transfers fared

WR McLane Mannix: The speedy receiver had a waiver approved to play this season, although he was unable to replicate his production from his two seasons at Nevada while playing for Texas Tech in the Big 12. Mannix caught 26 passes for 248 yards and three touchdowns for the Red Raiders as a junior. He averaged 53.5 receptions for 827 yards and six touchdowns in two years at Nevada.

LB Roosevelt Calhoun: The Hug High alum had 96 tackles, 6.5 tackles for loss, four forced fumbles, two sacks and an interception in nine games at Western New Mexico, a Division II school.

DL Ricky Thomas Jr.: As a senior at FCS school Norfolk State, Thomas 31 tackles, 3.5 tackles for loss, 2.5 sacks and a forced fumble in 10 games.

WR Trevion Armstrong: In six games at FCS school Campbell, Armstrong had two catches for 79 yards, including one touchdown.

DB Marcus Lucas: At Southeast Missouri State, another FCS school, Lucas had 21 tackles and two interceptions in 13 games. He broke up three passes.

DB Nephi Sewell: The younger brother of Nevada senior Gabe, Nephi planned on transferring to BYU but instead landed at Utah. His waiver to play this season was turned down, so he redshirted in 2019.

OL David Zavala: The senior offensive lineman at New Mexico (Nevada's MW counterpart) started six games and appeared in all 12 for the Lobos as a guard.

DL Fanon Vines: Playing for Fort Lewis College (coached by ex-Nevada staffer Brandon Crosby), Vines had 17 tackles, 3.5 tackles for loss, one sack and one blocked kick in four games.

QB Griffin Dahn: Dahn transferred to FCS school Albany but did not attempt a pass this season. He was credited with one tackle.

DB Teyjohn Herrington: Herrington transferred to Cabrillo College, a junior college, and had 30 tackles, two interceptions and a forced fumble in six games.

OL Dylan Porter: Porter transferred to Montana State, an FCS school, and played in one game for the Bobcats.

WR Hunter Jaurez: Playing for the College of Idaho, an NAIA school, Jaurez caught 41 passes for 811 yards and seven touchdowns and also had a tackle in nine games.
