Nevada Wolf Pack alum Jordan Caroline has signed an undrafted free-agent deal with the Los Angeles Lakers, according to multiple reports. Caroline confirmed the signing to Nevada Sports Net on Friday morning.

Caroline was a three-time all-conference player for the Wolf Pack after transferring from Southern Illinois. He averaged 16.6 points, 9.1 rebounds and 2.0 assists per game at Nevada, making 46.3 percent from the field and 34.5 percent of his threes.

As a senior, Caroline averaged 17 points, 9.6 rebounds and 1.9 assists while making 45.2 percent from the field, including 36.8 percent from three. He struggled through a late-season swoon after straining his Achilles but worked out with 11 NBA teams in addition to taking part in the G League Elite Camp in the pre-draft process.

Caroline worked out with the Lakers in each of the last two offseasons. He tested the NBA draft waters last season before returning to school for his senior season.

A 6-foot-7, 215-pound wing player, Caroline played a variety of roles for Nevada, serving as the team's center during its Sweet 16 season in 2017-18 before playing small forward last year. He helped the Wolf Pack win three straight MW regular-season titles as well as the 2017 MW Tournament after which he was named the event's MVP. Caroline appeared on all three NCAA Tournament teams during the Eric Musselman era.

The Lakers could be a good fit for Caroline as Los Angeles recently traded three rotation players plus its first-round draft pick used this week to the New Orleans Pelicans in exchange for Anthony Davis and will have to fill out its 15-man roster with minimum-salary players.

Caroline joins Nevada teammate Cody Martin, who was picked in the second round by his home state Charlotte Hornets, in signing NBA deals. Caleb Martin also is expected to sign with an NBA team as an undrafted free agent.
