NORTH LAS VEGAS, Nev. (KSNV) — Law enforcement arrested a 16-year-old suspect for the shooting death of a North Las Vegas high school student earlier this month.
North Las Vegas Police say detectives, with assistance from Clark County School District Police, identified Sakai Kayin French as a suspect in the death of 18-year-old Dalvin Brown.
Brown was shot and killed outside Canyon Springs High School on Tuesday, Sept. 11.
An FBI apprehension team arrested French Thursday in the 3900 block of Diamond Gem Court in Las Vegas, police say. No other details were released.
He has been certified as an adult, according to police, and booked on suspicion of murder with a deadly weapon and possession of a dangerous weapon on school property.
