As many as 40,000 people are expected to line the streets to watch this year's 25th Annual Summerlin Council Patriotic Parade, which promises something for everyone, including patriots, sports fans, and kids of all ages.

Dozens of volunteers gathered Monday at Trails Park to put the finishing touches on more than 19 floats. Some of the favorites include one with an Aladdin theme, Mary Poppins, a float with a bald eagle and a large copy of the Declaration of Independence, and the Vegas Golden Knights.

This year's parade will also include a fan favorite brought back due to popular demand.

"This past year, for the 25th Anniversary, we allowed the Summerlin community to vote for a fan favorite that they wanted to bring back," said Halee Mason, the marketing director for Downtown Summerlin. "So in 2013, we retired the 'Under-the-Sea Jubilee' float. Now it's making its appearance one more time through Summerlin."

The parade begins at 9 a.m. on July 4 at the corner of Hillpointe Road and Hills Center Drive in the Trails Village of Summerlin.

The parade will move south toward Village Center Circle, then west on Trailwood Drive, before ending near the corner of Trailwood Drive and Spring Gate Lane.
