Power restored at Silverton Casino after crash causes outage

LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — UPDATE 5:45 PM| The power has been restored at of 5:45 p.m. at the Silverton Hotel and Casino, accoridng to a tweet.

ORIGINAL| The Silverton Hotel and Casino near Blue Diamond Road and I- 15 is experiencing a power outage that started around 3:15 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 26.

A representative with NV Energy says a power outage in the area was caused by a car crashing into a fuse cabinet near Valley View Boulevard and Wigwam Avenue.

The Silverton said in a tweet that the outage is expected to last until 10:00 p.m.

The casino floor is open for play, but restaurants and bars are closed for the rest of the day.

NV Energy's representative says they are working to make repairs.
