UPDATE, July 2 | The Clark County Coroner's Office has identified the man killed as 31-year-old Travon Martin.

ORIGINAL | Authorities are responding to a deadly crash Monday morning on U.S. 95 just north of Searchlight, according to Nevada Highway Patrol.

The crash was reported just after 4:45 a.m. on the northbound side of the highway near mile marker 34, NHP posted on its incident site.

Traffic is stopped in both directions, and Nipton Highway is also closed, according to troopers.

The crash involved a van that was carrying illegal fireworks, according to NHP, with extended delays during the morning to remove the hazardous material.

All lanes were back open by Monday afternoon, NHP reported.

No other details on the circumstances of the crash were immediately provided.
