Henderson police investigate shooting near Warm Springs, Lake Mead

HENDERSON, Nev. (KSNV) — UPDATE 7:40 PM| Investigation into the incident revealed the victim of the shooting is a homeowner who walked in on a burglary in progress.

HPD describes the suspect as an unknown black male.

The victim is in stable condition, according to HPD.

ORIGINAL| The Henderson Police Department is investigating a shooting that occurred Wednesday afternoon near Lake Mead Parkway and Warm Springs Road.

HPD says that the shooting was reported around 4:45 p.m.

Responding officers found one subject suffering from an apparent gunshot wound in the 100 block of Ivy Street, just south of Warm Springs Road.

The subject was transported to Sunrise Hospital, but his condition remains unknown.

Officers are investigating in the area and have closed down Ivy Street.

No information was available on a possible suspect.
