We'll start at Hooters, which we learned is history.

The sale price according to the Wall Street Journal is $135 million.

The buyer?

Oyo.

Howard Stutz of CDC Gaming, explains.

“It's a company out of India. They're the largest hospitality company in India,” Stutz tells me.

It's the 3rd largest hospitality chain in the world. They plan to upgrade the property, starting mid-September. Long-time locals know this address has had multiple personalities.

“It started with the Howard Johnson's, became the 20th century, then it was the Treasury, then the Pacifica, the Polynesian, and then the San Remo, and now Hooters,” says my in-house historian, News 3’s Tom Hawley.

Soon it will be the Oyo Hotel and Casino.

We're told they're keeping the Hooters restaurant and the chicken wings.

Just one more change in a city that never stands still.

We've known the Hard Rock will become the new Virgin Resort.

We learned this week it's closing after the Super Bowl for nearly a year-long transformation.

Over at the SLS, everything old is new again.

Next Thursday it officially goes back to what it should have been, the Sahara Las Vegas.

It's even getting it's desert tan back.

And here's a nugget we saw first on the blog Vital Vegas.

Is Resorts World ditching its Asian theme?

“They're still moving forward. I mean, the color scheme is gonna be hard to change. Maybe they're gonna tone it down a little bit and make it more of a Las Vegas-style resort,” says Stutz.

"Property details will be made available soon," says Resorts World president Scott Sibella in a statement. "We look forward to sharing the vision for what the Resorts World Las Vegas experience will look like very soon."

We look forward to learning about the resort, scheduled to open next year.
