Everyone in the Las Vegas valley is definitely feeling the heat this weekend.

The National Weather Service announced Saturday, July 13, that just before 3:00 p.m., the temperature at McCarran International Airport reached 110 degrees, making it the hottest day of 2019, so far.

This is the first time the valley has hit 110 degrees in 340 days, according to NWS, with the last time being on Aug. 7, 2018.

The forecast for next week, however, calls for a bit of a cool-down with some low pressure from the west bringing dry and gusty winds into the area.
