A mother's desperate plea to find her homeless son in Las Vegas appears to have worked.

Jennifer Tracy from Missouri posted a Missing Person’s Ad on Facebook that showed a before and after photo of her 27-year-old son Cody Bishop.

The photos were taken 7 months apart and showed Cody before and after drug addiction.

Jennifer says Cody moved to Las Vegas a year ago, but he hadn't responded to her calls in over a month. She feared he might even be dead.

Cody had reportedly been to a rehab facility in Las Vegas for addiction to heroin, he was hospitalized after an overdose, and News 3 learned he was even arrested over the summer on a larceny charge.

However, his mother refused to give up hope.

She posted the ad asking people to keep a lookout for him.

Tyler Powel, a man who is currently backpacking across America, saw the post on Facebook and decided to pause his travels and take up a search.

After a couple of days of speaking with homeless citizens and workers in the area of Las Vegas known as Naked City, he says a lead came through and Cody was found.

He has since reportedly reconnected with his mother who is trying to get him some help.
