Kefauver Day marks the Senate committee hearing on organized crime that took place inside the museum's courtroom in 1950.

Tennessee Sen. Estes Kefauver led the hearings, which were televised and exposed many Americans to organized crime for the first time.

The Mob Museum is open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Nov. 15.
