A new tourism advertisement says visitors can expect several changes in Las Vegas once the state's casino-resorts can reopen amid the coronavirus outbreak.

The 30-second commercial from the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority promises a "new Vegas for the new reality."

"We're working to make it more intimate, with more space and the excitement you've come to expect," says the narrator in the ad.

The spot will run across a combination of network and cable channels, according to a spokesperson.

All gaming venues in Nevada have been closed for the last two months to stem the spread of COVID-19.

State regulators have ordered casinos to reduce their capacity and cut the numbers of slot machines and table game seats when they do reopen.

Several operators have released details for their reopening plans, including steps for screening and sanitation.

It's unclear when casinos will be able to reopen, though some executives have speculated the date could come later this month or in early June.
