One in critical condition after motorcycle crash near Sunrise Manor

LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department says one person is in critical condition after a crash in the northeast valley, near Sunrise Manor.

According to police, a pickup truck collided with a motorcycle just after 11 p.m. near Shadow Rock Park on Los Feliz Street.

The 19-year-old driver of the truck accelerated "aggressively" while turning left and as the driver of the motorcycle was attempting to pass the truck, they collided and caused the motorcycle to overturn.

The motorcyclist was transported to University Medical Center in critical condition. Authorities believe impairment of the 19-year-old pickup truck driver was a factor in the crash.

The crash remained under investigation Sunday morning.
