A grant from the MGM Foundation has made it possible for The Salvation Army Southern Nevada to provide housing and case management for the nonprofit’s SEEDS of Hope Program, which serves human trafficking victims.

The SEEDS, or the Saving, Empowering, Educating and restoring Dream, program is partnering with Walker Furniture to fill two apartments for those seeking help from the program.

SEEDS of Hope is currently serving 25 victims with ongoing case management. The new homes should be able to serve from 10 to 15 victims over the next year.

“We are so blessed that the MGM Foundation has seen fit to support the important work of our SEEDS of Hope program,” said Capt. Lisa Barnes, Clark County Coordinator for The Salvation Army. “Housing our clients safely and providing them hope and a future is our goal.”
