Constable Percy Medina passes away after a brief illness

COTULLA, Texas – After 18 years of service, Atascosa county has lost one of their best public servants.

“It is with tremendous sadness that we report that Constable Pct. 1 Percy Medina has passed away after a brief illness. Constable Medina has served the citizens of Precinct One in Atascosa County for 18 years, one month and ten days,” wrote Sheriff David Soward on Facebook.

We join the sheriff and his department extending our most sincere condolences and prayers to the Medina family and the staff at Precinct One.

“You will be missed, Constable. R.I.P. We will hold the line from here,” wrote Sheriff Soward.
