Officers seeking robbery suspect, called to Bank of Springfield

SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WICS/WRSP) — Springfield police are searching for a suspect in an alleged robbery.

Officers were called to the Bank of Springfield at 2600 Stevenson Drive around 11:10 a.m. Tuesday.

Police said the suspect stole an undisclosed sum of money and ran southwest of the bank.

No suspect description has been provided by officials and police are currently reviewing surveillance video from the area.
