Woman arrested after multi-agency chase from Trenton to Marion County

TRENTON, Ga. — Officers say a woman who led a police chase from Trenton into Marion County has been arrested.

The Trenton Police Department says on Thursday, Officer Dylan Floyd tried to make a traffic stop around mile marker 13 on I-59 with a black Nissan Maxima, but the car instead sped off.

The Dade County Sheriff's Office, Marion County Sheriff's Office, and Tennessee Highway Patrol joined Officer Floyd in the pursuit.

Ultimately, the chase ended near the 157 mile post of I-24 in Marion County.

Peggy Damen of Athens, Tennessee was taken into custody.

Damen was charged with several traffic violations, including Driving with a Revoked License and Fleeing or Attempting to Elude Police Officer.

Trenton PD says she will also face several charges in Tennessee.
