Classen Schools becomes only high school in Oklahoma to earn Steinway Select designation

Oklahoma City Public Schools board member Mark Mann and Classen SAS Principal Scot McAdoo made a special announcement that the Achieving Classen Excellence (ACE) Foundation, which supports the Classen School of Advanced Studies, launched their All-Steinway Initiative to help Classen SAS become the only high school in Oklahoma and only the 17th in the country to earn the Steinway Select designation for its music program.

To gain this designation, OKCPS purchased 13 new Boston by Steinway & Sons pianos for the school. The ACE Foundation is said to raise additional $160,000 to finalize the designation process.

ACE hopes to raise the funds through corporate and individual donations. More information about the campaign and the Steinway Select designation can be found at their website.
