As part of phase two of Governor Kevin Stitt's plan to reopen the State, Friday bars and clubs are allowed to serve customers again.
But even though it's back to business for many local bars, it's still not business as usual.
Twisted Spike bartender, Michael Todd says, "It’s a little weird that we have to wear the masks."
Strict safety guidelines are still in place, requiring staff to wear masks and patrons to remain socially distant.
"We have hand sanitizer, make sure everyone is washing their hands, we wipe down and sanitize anything people have touched or sat down by," says Todd.
But even though the environment might not feel exactly the same as it was before the pandemic, not many customers say they expected things to go back to normal right away.
Bar patron, Heath Kassing says, "It’s different, but I get it."
another customer, Diana Fierra says, "We know it’s still not over, so we’re not expecting to live life the way it used to be."
Most saying they're getting comfortable with the new normal.
Fierra says, "We’re trying to still use precautions, masks, and social distancing."
