Under the current ordinance, almost all Oklahoma City residents must wear masks while at indoor public places and can be fined if they do not comply.

A group of Oklahoma City residents formed a Facebook page called 'Keep Masks Voluntary-OKC' to oppose the new mask mandate.

On Saturday, around 40 people from the group gathered and protested the ordinance.

Bryan Armstrong, one of the group's administrators, told FOX 25 that the group wants a recall on the city council members who voted yes and Mayor Holt for voting to pass the mandatory mask ordinance.

Another request of the group is for Gov. Kevin Stitt to ban the mask ordinance.
