Bhubaneswar Partied Like Never Before at .FEST

Bhubaneswar :Day 15 of .FEST (Bhubaneswar City Festival) continued to draw audiences in as popular EDM artistes DJ Willy & Teju thousand ecstatic fans. An initiative organized by Bhubaneswar Development Authority and Odisha Tourism, the evening was a delight for lovers of EDM, hip-hop, rock, Punjabi and Bollywood music.
DJ Willy is one of the most sought after DJs in India. A popular and regular name at all the elite clubs, his set tonight created a pulsating and electrifying atmosphere at .FEST. He is also a hot favourite to open for international artist who play in India. He sent the audience into a tizzy when he began belting out popular Bollywood tracks and had everyone dancing in no time. DJ Teju is also one of Mumbai’s leading House DJs. Creating music for the masses and remixing his tracks, Willy got everybody grooving to his hypnotic act. DJ Willy& Teju completely transformed the stage musical mayhem while creating an unforgettable musical extravaganza.
The International Street Food Festival which also a popular attraction at .FEST, received and overwhelming responses. Visitors were spoilt for choice as they got to choose from a wide range of appetizing street food specialties with cuisines from Odisha, India and all over the world.
Taking the inclusiveness of the .FEST further, the city authorities today invited 250 people from marginalized sections of society. This included 60 kids from SOS Children’s Village and 190 Anganwadi workers from CDPO Urban 1, 2 and 3 respectively.
Anganwadi worker Pushpalata Rath said “I am happy that the city authorities have given us a recognition by including us in the event for fun, food and music. We also enjoyed the delicious food and spent good time by listening to the music.’’
Shantilata Das, another Anganwadi worker, said as grassroots level contributors in the society, our work is always dear to us. “We are proud for our involvement in .FEST. By inviting us the festival organizers have made us proud by recognising our work for the society.’’
Sukumati Ho, Class VI from SOS Children’s Village said “I am coming to such a beautiful event for the first time in Bhubaneswar. I am lucky to spend the time with friends and enjoying delicious food and quality music.’’
Suresh Pradhan, Class VII from SOS Children’s Village was also happy to be part of the first city-level entertainment extravaganza. “It’s a proud moment for us and for the city also,’’ he added.
In order to ensure no one misses out on the on-going Odisha Men’s Hockey World Cup 2018, live screening of the matches happen at the .FEST on several big screen located on-ground at the venue.
Tomorrow, 16th December, 2018 at the grand finale of .FEST superstar musical trio Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy will bring the house down with their blockbuster Bollywood hits and others. This is one night you don’t want to miss.
