The Maricopa County Sheriff's Office has identified the drivers in a pedestrian-involved vehicle crash early May 19.

70-year-old Ronald Dean Haab was driving his silver Jeep north on Ellsworth Road, turning left onto East Broadway Road on May 19 around 7:43 a.m. Haab's car collided with 66-year-old Heber Lee Carroll's Ford Explorer, who was driving south on Ellsworth Road, MCSO said.

Carroll's car began spinning and jumped the curb, hitting 48-year-old Kelly Ann Kehinde and an 8-year-old girl.

Kehinde was taken to the hospital with abrasions and contusions. The 8-year-old pedestrian's injuries were no longer life threatening but still serious, according to MCSO. Carroll had minor injuries and Haab was uninjured.

According to MCSO, witnesses offered conflicting statements about the color of the traffic light when the cars collided. Both drivers were not impaired at the time, MCSO said.

Excessive speed is not a factor in the crash. MCSO is still investigating the case.
