Police on Monday identified a woman killed in shooting at a Phoenix home last week as 37-year-old Amanda Chase.
Officers responded at around 7:45 a.m. May 13 to the home near 35th Avenue and Beardsley Road after receiving a report of a shooting from a 31-year-old man who identified himself as Chase's wife, Phoenix police spokesman Sgt. Vince Lewis said.
The man told police Chase had shot him and that he had shot her, Lewis said.
Police found the man with survivable injuries at the home. Chase was critically injured and pronounced dead on scene, Lewis said. Two children were at the home during the incident, Lewis added.
The man involved has not been identified and police said the investigation was continuing.
