Police: Impairment suspected in Tempe crash caused by wrong-way driver

Police said the wrong-way driver involved in a head-on collision in Tempe on Sunday night was likely impaired.
According to a Tempe police spokesperson, a vehicle hit another car head-on while traveling the wrong direction near Guadalupe Road and McClintock Drive at 11:30 p.m.
Both drivers were transported to a hospital with serious, but non-life threatening injuries, according to a Tempe police spokesperson.
Officials said the wrong-way driver was likely impaired at the time of the crash.
Officials didn't provide any additional details early Monday.
