Financial aid for Don Bosco Technical Institute Nongstoin

NONGSTOIN: The Don Bosco Technical Institute received a boost on Monday with the donation of Rs 5 lakh under the MDC scheme made available by Nongstoin MDC LG Nongsiej.
The under-construction Institute, which aims to train unemployed youths in West Khasi Hills, will be run by the catholic mission of Pyndengrei Parish.
Director of the institute, Fr. Raphael, while addressing a gathering at the parish in St. Peter’s Pyndengrei thanked Nongsiej, who is also the Chairman of the KHADC keeping his promise of sanctioning the fund.
Fr. Raphael said that the institution will provide short-term skill training to the youths to make them employable and self reliant.
Nongsiej, meanwhile, lauded the institution for its noble initiative. Currently, the institute is training youths to become electricians, carpenters and wiremen.
