This was revealed by the Engineer-in-Chief of the Urban Affairs Department,  Edel War during the spot inspection conducted by the local legislator of Nongpoh Constituency, Mayralborn Syiem on Tuesday.

Edel War also informed that the project would be made fully operational by December this year for segregation and recycle of waste products collected from various villages under Nongpoh Town.

Beside segregation and recycle of waste products, the project will also have a vermi compost pit where biodegradable waste will be converted in to manure to be supplied to the farmers of the area whereas non-biodegradable waste will be resold.
