AHMEDABAD: A team of
Navrangpura police investigating the
murder of Rasiklal Mehta, 93, that took place at his residence in Darshan Society near
Stadium Crossroads on August 25, has recovered over 300 stolen ancient coins from the accused. The recovery was made from Banswara in Rajasthan after the accused Shantilal Charpote, 22, was taken to his native as part of investigation during remand.
“The recovery has bound the accused with the crime and will work as evidence.
We have already reconstructed the crime at Mehta’s residence. He had also stolen money. Charpote is in custody of Navrangpura police for 10 days,” said an investigator.
