A captivating talk on gender equality

California-based gender education advocate , Jessica Lynn was in the city recently to address the students and faculty at the International Institute of Information Technology Hyderabad (IIIT-H). Speaking at the talk titled ‘A Journey of a Transgender Woman’, Lynn spoke at length about her life, struggles and how she successfully came out as a transgender women from being a man named Jeffrey Butterworth.She also drew attention to the unique problems transgender parents face and gave out tips how to face them without being disrespectful towards their children. The audience listened to her lecture in rapt attention and appreciated her discourse with periodic applause and cheers.
