Woman dies of swine flu in Lucknow

LUCKNOW: A 49-year-old woman resident of Triveni Nagar died of swine flu on Tuesday . She was undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Mahanagar and her sample was tested positive at the virology laboratory of SGPGI. This was the 14th swine flu death in Lucknow. On Tuesday , 39 more swine flu cases were reported from the laboratories from SGPGI and King George's Medical University .A total of 1,816 people have been tested swine flu positive in Lucknow since January .
“The woman tested positive to swine flu and information of her death was received from the hospital. We have asked the hospital to submit all her records by Wednesday ,“ said chief medical officer (CMO), Lucknow district, Dr GS Bajpai.
Meanwhile, a 30-year-old woman i n Gomtinagar tested positive to dengue on Tuesday .
