NASHVILLE: For the first time, the
Calcutta University Alumni Association, US chapter, organised a musical event at
Nashville Airport Mariott.
The three-day event (September 1-September 3) was hosted by BPACON (Bengali Performing Arts Conference).
Alumni members from neighbouring cities, too, chipped in with their contributions to make the event a grand success.
While the venue became a melting pot of old friends, teachers and students, the event was a rare combination of performing arts, including recitation, shadowgraphy, folk songs by Atlanata-based band 'Madol', performance by Arkansas's father-daughter duo etc.
Visually impaired singer Diya Chakraborty and her fatherKolkata artists
Shovansundar Bosu (recitation),
Shubhomita Banerjee (music) Tanmay Bose (Instruments) also performed in the event
