PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WJAR) — Providence police said someone fired bullets at a bar.
Police responded to Copa Sports Bar at 52 Mount Pleasant Ave. at about 11:45 p.m. Sunday.
Police said they believe someone fired several shots toward the bar while standing across the street on Fairmount Avenue.
Police said they talked to a man who was struck in the chin by a "projectile." He taken to Rhode Island Hospital.
"It should be noted that police located the projectile that struck the victim," police said in a news release.
Bullet holes were found on the first and second floors of the building, and some shell casings were found.
No arrests were made.
