The Rhode Island Lottery's pulled the plug on its proposed "Bingo Power"televised game in 1996.

It was 24 years ago that the Rhode Island Lottery Commission approved what would have been a first in the nation: televised bingo.

But it didn't come without controversy, as NBC 10's Andrea Brody reported on Feb. 20, 1996.
