About 60% of West Virginia University's Morgantown campus classes will now be offered online for the fall semester.

All other courses will be offered face-to-face or in a hybrid mode that includes a mix of in-person and online elements, according to a letter from the university sent to students Wednesday. Some hands-on course such as labs or clinical and studio classes will be in-person.

The university is asking its students to check the room assignments on their schedules because some class locations have changed. Most of the classes, even those that have moved to an online only format, have kept their same course days and times.

Students may change courses based on their preference now that some classes have been transferred to online only. Students should contact their adviser if they wish to make any changes to their schedule. Students are encouraged to keep checking their schedules in case of any changes in the coming days and weeks.

The fall semester begins Wednesday, Aug. 26, in Morgantown. Beckley and Keyser campuses will begin the semester on Wednesday, Aug. 19.
