Jacksonville store manager accused of stealing from the business

JACKSONVILLE, Onslow County — A Jacksonville store manager has been arrested for stealing from her employer back in September.

The Onslow County Sheriff’s Office says a report was made that money was missing from the Scotchman gas station on Burgaw Hwy and the investigation revealed that manager Joan Baker made a deposit of the days’ receipts but didn't deposit all of the money.

Baker, 39, was arrested on Saturday and charged with larceny by an employee; she's being held on a $5,000 bond.
