Suspicious vehicle stop leads to drug, gun charges in Washington County, Virginia

A suspicious vehicle observed by a Washington County, Virginia deputy has led to gun and drug charges against a Meadowview man.

Johnny Edward Jobe, 43, was seen spotlighting equipment with a flashlight and driving slowly at a tractor business when the officer stopped his car and was allowed to search the vehicle.

The search netted 2.5 grams in meth along with weapons, drug paraphernalia and $2,500 in cash, the report said. Plus, the truck and trailer Jobe was driving was listed stolen out of North Carolina.

Jobe is being held without bond in the Southwest Virginia Regional Jail in Abingdon.
