RICHMOND, Va. — The National Federation of Independent Buisness (NFIB) said in a press release Sunday they plan to bring small business owners to Virginia’s capital to testify against labor mandates on Monday and Tuesday.
Legislative committees will be holding marathon hearings on various labor mandates, including bills on paid leave, Fair Share, and minimum wage.
The NFIB reports the costs and operational difficulties of the proposed legislation will jeopardize 750,000 small businesses in the state, which account for nearly half of the state’s workforce.
