Cause of Spring Valley shopping mall fire unknown

Fire investigators are expected to return to a busy Rockland County shopping center today to determine what caused a fire on Thursday.
Fire officials say they got a call around 3:30 a.m. Thursday about smoke coming from the Central Crossing Shopping Center at 175 Route 59 in Spring Valley.
Twelve fire departments from around the county were brought in, just in case. "For a large building, warehouse buildings, we call everyone in when we need for manpower especially at 3 o'clock in the morning," says Spring Valley Fire Chief Ray Canario.
Canario says they had trouble finding the exact location of the fire because it's similar to a warehouse-type structure. "It was a big maze, we started searching, and searching,  we actually located the fire that was above a storage room," explains Canario.
Luckily crews discovered the spot inside the TurtleBoo children's amusement center and put out the fire before it spread to the rest of the mall.
Power had to be cut to the whole shopping center which meant none of the business were able to open for hours.  There was so much smoke inside the mall, the Mahwah, New Jersey fire department was called to bring in their rescue fan boat. It's the same type of boat often seen down in the Florida Everglades. The powerful fan was then able to quickly clear out the smoke.
Most of the businesses inside were eventually able to reopen on Thursday.  Police tape remains on the entrance near the TurtleBoo facility.
