Maine Figure Skaters ready for N.E. Regionals

The North Atlantic Figure Skating Club (NAFSC) is pleased to announce that 11 skaters will compete in October at the 2020 New England Regional Singles Challenge in Westborough, MA. The following regional competitors will be exhibiting their competitive programs on Monday, October 14, 4:40-6 pm at the Family Ice Arena in Falmouth, Maine:

Piper Bickerstaff, age 14, of Falmouth

Tatum Brewer, age 13, of Yarmouth

Hope Carroll, age 17, of Portland (HS Senior)

Madelin Joseph, age 17, of Yarmouth (HS Senior)

Maiya Marquis, age 12, of Scarborough

Emma Siler, age 17, of Scarborough (HS Senior)

Hannah Taggart, age 12, of Scarborough

The 2020 New England Regional Singles Challenge is hosted by NorthStar FSC and will be held at the North Star Ice Sports Arena in Westborough, MA, October 23-27, 2019. Regionals is the qualifying event for singles skaters who wish to advance to the U.S. Figure Skating Championships. The top four finishers at each singles level qualify to compete at the Eastern Sectionals. The 2020 Eastern Sectional Singles Final will be held November 12-16, 2019 in Hyannis, MA, hosted by Yarmouth Ice Club. Ladies and Men’s singles skaters placing in the top four at Sectionals advance to compete at the 2020 U.S. Figure Skating Championships in Greensboro, North Carolina, January 20-26, 2020. The U.S. Figure Skating Championships have been held annually since 1914 to crown U.S. Champions in ladies, men’s, pairs and ice dancing events.
